So, the story...

Okay, I guess I should start at the beginning...

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Megan. Megan always wanted a baby. Always. With every fiber of her being. For as long as she could remember. Far away, across the bay, was a boy named John. They grew up apart from each other, but magically met, fell in love, and got married. Well, Megan and John knew they couldn't have kids naturally due to John's cancer treatments in high school. They both wanted to start a family soon, but knew they needed to wait a while before they started trying, just to settle in to their marriage, get much better jobs, a place of their own, etc. There are always a million reasons...

Well, they thought that was the plan. They got married September 28, 2008. They went to Williamsburg and had a wonderful (albeit nerdy) honeymoon September 30th and returned October 4th. They were just getting back into the swing of every day life and the end of October rolled around, when Megan should've gotten her period. (Sorry for you squeamish people, but you know how life works, come on.) But she didn't. She'd been feeling weird and John would always kid she was pregnant. That kind of irritated her because that would've been amazing, but it wasn't supposed to be able to happen. A few more days passed. Nothing. So, just for kicks, they bought some pregnancy tests.

Early Sunday morning (November 2nd), Megan took one. And, though the instructions said it could take up two or three minutes for the results to be visible, both of those little pink lines were there in seconds. Megan freaked out and told John who, in turn, freaked out as well. After they calmed down and started trying to wrap their minds around the fact that this was actually happening, they decided to go downstairs and tell Shari, John's mom. (Yes, they still live at home.) She was shocked when they could finally get it out, but really happy. She told Megan to take the other test in the box the next morning to double check. Well, Megan couldn't wait and went right up and took it. Positive in two seconds flat, again. As well as a digital later that day. And week. (Couldn't trust just one brand!)

So, yep. Johnny and Megan are definitely knocked up.
